Traxton is starting to walk.....

So Traxton has been taking some accidental steps one at a time for a couple of weeks now. On Halloween he took 2 1/2 steps for Great-Grandpa Huntington. On Sunday the 2nd he was walking all over the place for Uncle Mike and Mom. Brandi was taking live footage and Braylea was helping ;). I was so excited. We will have to get some pix soon. He is growing so fast. Braylea has been safe because she can out walk his crawl (almost he is quite fast when he wants to be), but she is in for it now. Traxton loves to follow her every where and I am sure he will be stepping on her heels and mimicking her every move.

Fourth Folder Tag

Thanks for the tag Joslin!

Traxton loves having his bath and Braylea is so great to help. She loves to "fix his hair with bubbles" she says. It is quite cute.

When tagged go to the fourth folder of your pictures and pick the fourth picture to post.

I tag Jamie, Jessie, and Kim.

Braylea and Traxton had so much fun carving their pumpkins! Braylea liked making pumpkin pie with the guts (Not real pumpkin pie). What fun we had. We made Cinderella and the Prince pumpkin carvings. They turned out very cute.

Where did Traxton go?

Anytime Traxton disappears these days he is headed right for the toilet. He learned that it makes a really fun noise when you pull this nice little handle that is just the right height for little boys! What a fun toy...yuck. He sure does like it and has to flush the toilet several times every chance he getts!

Halloween Cake Contest

Happy Halloween!

The elementary school had a cake contest for their Halloween carnival. Braylea and I made a witch cake. She was such a good cake decorator.

Braylea's cake won first prize! She received a $10.00 gift certificate to spend at the carnival and a cute Halloween pencil.

Teeth! Teeth! Teeth!

Traxton now has four teeth. He has only bit me one time. He is sure growing fast. He loves his big sister and tries to go everywhere she goes and do everything that she does. She got into the mud the other day and of course so did he. Nothing stops him. He thinks that he is just as big as she is. What fun kids!

Growing Like A Weed

Braylea was working "playing" in my classroom today. She was drawing a picture. I asked her what she was drawing and she told me, "I am making a lot of circles. You draw a circle mom." So I drew a circle. I asked her what it was and she told me that is the shape of a "momato" tomato. I then drew a triangle and asked her what it was. She said, "it is a triangle...the shape of a mountain...like where the antelope live until someone shoots them. When someone shoots them they take them to the antelope place (taxidermist)." Thinking I could challenge her I drew a square and asked her what it was. She said, "It is a square...kind of like a door." Still trying to challenge her I drew a diamond. I asked her what it was and she correctly identified it as well.

I am not sure what I am going to do with this girl she way to smart! She was so excited that they played basketball at preschool yesterday. It was all she talked about. O... and that they tasted lemons. She is growing way to fast!

My Little Helper

Braylea was playing on my computer before she went to preschool this morning. She informed me "you have to push this button (the one on the mouse) to go to the internet". I had no idea that she new what the internet was. She plays on the computer a lot. Recently her favorite website is starfall.com. She loves the games on that web site and it is very educational. I would recommend it for any moms that are looking for educational learning games. Anyway... She keeps me on my toes and keeps a smile on my face. I love this little girl!

This photo is just another that we took this morning. She is very good at sticking post-it notes EVERYWHERE. I like it when she leaves notes. What a cutie.

Mighty Hunters

Braylea and Traxton have been hunting antelope with Uncle Brandon the last two days. Braylea is quite the little guide. I am sure that she took Uncle Brandon right to this nice buck that he killed today.

This morning when I was getting her ready to go. She told me that she needed her hunting clothes and her hunting coat. We got them all ready. She said that she already had a gun and some binoculars so she did not need to take any. She was so excited to go. The entire time that I was getting Traxton ready to go she kept telling me to take her to Papa Gil's so she could go hunting. She could hardly wait! I am sure glad that they had a successful hunt.

Traxton has three theeth now. One on the bottom and two on the top. He is growing so big. Grandma Lori took him for a fun ride in the stroller. Braylea and Tiger (the cat) went with. Braylea, Tiger, and Traxton were all in the stroller. Braylea decided to jump out before I could get a picture. Traxton and Tiger struck a pose. Aren't they cute?

Mike & Brandi's Wedding

Nap Time?

Traxton was one tired boy the day of Mike's wedding. He looked so cute sleeping that we had to snap a picture. He played really hard with Braylea, Uncle Jason, and Uncle Dallas.

Braylea went to her first day of preschool. She was so excited. She wore her new clothes and took her Dora back pack. She was a little scared when I left, but her teacher said that she was just fine once she started to play. I asked her what she did at school and she said, "We ate cookies." They had cookies and milk for snack. She later told me that they got to play with popcorn seeds. Sounds like fun to me! She loves going to school with mom. She is such a social butterfly. She comes into my classroom for a few minutes after preschool and she fits right in with the second graders.

Where did August go?

We cannot believe that August is ending. Traxton is crawling and crawling. He learned how to flush the toilet today. He thought that it was wonderful and I am sure we are in for some trouble! He has a tooth on the bottom left. He says, "dadadada." He is also giving hi-five.

Braylea cannot wait to start preschool next week. She is so excited. She is growing so tall. We went hunting last night with Papa Rick and she was such a good hunter. We were on a hill looking things over and she just piped up and said, "Mom...I will walk over into those woods with Grandpa... over there by the Russian Olives. You go down to the left and look for some deer." She heard a coyote and was a little scared that it might come over by us. It sure was howling. She "thinks" that she has a coyote trap (a hill that she has dug some holes in at the house). She checks her traps very regular. She has not caught anything yet. She informed Grandpa Kerry that it is not in season to catch the coyotes until morning time. She is our little hunter!

Braylea had a fun summer, but she cannot wait to start preschool. She will be going two days a week. She is going to have so much fun. She has a cute Dora back pack and she cannot wait to take it to school. Trax will miss her!

My little Traxton is getting so big. He is growing so fast and is a crawling machine. He keeps me and Braylea going. We love him so much.
I made it through the first day of school. YEAH! This year is going to be so much fun. The students in my class are all so great. I am so excited! We had a great first day.

August 2008

Summer is comming to an end and we have had a blast!

Braylea will be going to preschool. She celebrates her thrid birthday this month. Her and Traxton are the best of freinds and play so well together. We are so glad that he is a tuff little boy, because she forgets that he is still just a little guy and plays hard. She is the boss at our house and we all run on her time frame.

Traxton is so glad that he can crawl. Braylea cannot get away from him. He is always at our heels and into everything. He has the hardest head in town. He fell in the bathroom and hit his head on the tile and the tile broke. OUCH! He is such a blessing in our lives he keeps us going.

I start school on the 19th and cannot wait. I am looking forward to an exciting year. Braylea and Traxton will get to play at Heather's house while I am working. They love it there. I am looking forward to the bow hunt. I have been told not to get my hopes up or be to picky and to shoot at anything...we will have to see about that.
